Which Is Right for Your Facility?

Both products do the same core job. They serve different buyers.

Both calculate heat index from temperature and humidity using the NOAA/OSHA formula. The difference is how the data is delivered, documented, and scaled across multiple sites.

Choose HeatAlert® Monitor (Standalone) If You Need:

A proven, ready-to-deploy heat index monitor with immediate visual warnings for workers on the floor.

  • Something deployed before next summer's heat season
  • A standalone unit that doesn't depend on Wi-Fi or IT involvement
  • Highly visible strobe alerts workers see from across a facility floor
  • 1 to 10 facilities, each managed independently
  • A traditional, permanent hardwired installation
  • To avoid cloud subscriptions or data plans

Join the HeatAlert Connect™ Waitlist If You Need:

Continuous heat index logging, OSHA-defensible documentation, and centralized monitoring across multiple sites.

  • Continuous compliance documentation an auditor can pull instantly
  • Email alerts to your EHS team when thresholds are crossed
  • Centralized monitoring across multiple facilities
  • Historical data exports for OSHA inspections or workers' comp claims
  • Plug-and-play installation without electrician involvement
  • To be first in line when HeatAlert Connect™ launches publicly in 2027

A note about the related HeatAlert® passive sign

Both products on this page are heat index monitors that calculate apparent temperature from air temperature and humidity. They're different from the passive HeatAlert® sign — that product is a bimetallic visual warning that responds to air temperature only ($189–$239). The passive sign sits at every outdoor exit as a visible warning; the monitors on this page provide the underlying measurement and documentation. Most facilities deploying a heat-illness prevention program use both together.
